A sample of Ed's work
Ed's first item,
a chunky oak goblet with a feature
Some shaping done so now for the inside
Refined outside with just a small feature
Last piece was chunky,
this will be thin wall
Judging the thickness by light.
It needs to be amber all over
Item No3. A large elm dish with splits
Turned a centre boss
on what will look like a shield
Add a few peaks and troughs
and stain with
Chestnut water based stain
Add a touch of gilting cream
and off to war you go
Item No.4 A sycamore bowl with
ogee shaped back
Hollowed out and sanded
Then dab on a bit of colour
Then a bit more,
and more and more
till you run out of
pebeo mixed media paints
Then frame the colour
with a couple of beads
One Ed had made earlier
And another example of
what you can do
